Now,my f2l time(just only f2l) about 8s but some pepole do f2l 5s,so i want to get 5s but i don't know how to get more faster at f2l??(about 5s).Please help me!!:D:D
P.S:i already learn lookahead;);)

Practice..?

Also, if you havent already - watch some of the F2L videos on YouTube. I did this recently and while most of it was just stuff I already knew there were 3 or 4 tips/tricks that I didnt know about which save me heaps of time when those scenarios come up.

I envy an 8 second f2l. Granted my 8 second LL won't help much that'll still barely put me under 20 seconds...but still, I'd love to have an 8 second f2l!
at that point you would be working on getting your cross sub 4....
also, fail thread

My cross is sub4, is his not? I generally lump "f2l" with the cross, when I talk about my F2L time. The best F2L time I've had was 12 seconds but I still only got like 25 seconds or something, it was when I was learning my PLLs and my recog was horrible. My average F2L is between 15-19 seconds.

Back on topic though, if you're at an 8 second F2L, first off not only is that really good, second, I'd start turning faster, especially if your look ahead is already there.

you said 8 second F2L would put you barely sub 20, that means with the LL time you said you must have a just under 4 second cross, guess i probly shoulda said sub 3, but oh well

can you move the cube as fast as you can and still know where your next 3 F2L's are?
if not, your lookahead isn't good enough, it the whole key to F2L, and besides, you don't learn lookahead. its a verb, you do it
but there may be something i left out or simply don't know, because i don't know everything (yet), so feel free to correct me
oopsy daisy, double post, gotta work on my "thinkahead"

You don't 'learn' lookahead, sounds like you think you've mastered it, when nobody is even close! :P

Work on being advanced, basically. That means learning different tricks, applying them in different ways, practicing doing <R, U> solving, pairing/slotting 2 at once (or in one fluid motion with no recognition between)... Do lots of reading and searching.

Yes, one of the best ways to get faster at F2L is too look ahead, turning slowly but steadily. You probably don't know what look ahead is, and/or you probably don't know how to practice/use it. I have made a video tutorial on looking ahead in F2L:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfE7jYOXbgg

Looking ahead will help you tremendously if you get good at it, which isn't easy.

read the first post, slowly, and i'm fairly sure its near impossible to get an 8 second F2L without looking ahead

my F2L is at like 18 seconds average, and I try to lookahead, but I can't seem to speed up. What should I do? Should I keep using the metronome to help with the lookahead?
Thanks for the help

If you take a long time to look ahead, you won't notice a difference in speed (at least not a positive one). With time and lots of practice you will eventually get faster and faster though, so just keep practicing.

Ok should I use the metronome?
