- C4U Cube
- JSK Clone
- Edison
- New Type A III
- Type F II

I previously had a ghost hand, which is kinda crappy now. It locks up a lot and is very slow. So, I'm now looking for a new cube. Above are my considerations, and I will cross them out when I have decided it's not the cube for me. My current average is just above 20. I turn fairly accurately, so I'm mostly thinking about the feel of the cube.

If you guys have any opinions on any of these cubes, whether I SHOULD get them or not, feel free to post :)

Well, I just ordered the C4U and FII. The C4U will hybrid with my C. I have an Edison from a while ago, and while it's better than a storebought, it's not the best. Decent cube though, very very smooth and very very heavy. Not too sure about the other two though.

Both F and FII are great cubes. They turn well out of the box come pre lubed and at the perfect tension for most peoples styles.

Look through both of these to find out the characteristics of your cubes. Then, decide which one you plan on buying...

Yes, I have looked through both, and so, I have a list of cubes that I think I MAY like, but sometimes, I am wrong (Like I was with the Ghost hand, which turned out pretty bad for me), so i am consulting others first to help me find the type I might like. I think that it's better to find out from people who actually have the cubes, as sometimes the reviews are quite vague. For example:

Cube4You cubes (also known as C4Y cubes, or the C4U DIY) are different sold at www.cube4you.com and www.cubefans.com. Cube4You cubes are highly regarded by most cubers for their excellent ability to cut corners. They also tend to pop less and have smoother turning than Type A cubes. They have been gaining in popularity recently, and are available in many different colors. However, according to some cubers, they get much worse after a few months. The general consensus is that Cube4You cubes are one of the better cubes available on the market, and are recommended for speedcubing.

This really doesn't help me whatsoever with my opinion... It just gives me some background information on it.

As nearly all of the descriptions are vague and difficult to understand the feel through those two threads, I don't think they really help me "decide which one i plan on buying" at all, other than weeding out some of the weirder ones such as the Type B, which I wasn't really considering in the first place. In addition, I am having difficulty finding some of the cubes such as the Edison and the JSK Clone, and an opinion from somebody who has one is probably much better than one from those two links.

Sorry about being so harsh, but your response seems to imply that I didn't do any background research or anything before I made this thread, which I did. As I said: I turn pretty accurately, so I'm mostly worrying about the speed and feel of the cube, which the threads give very little info about. I used these facts to choose a bunch of cubes which I MIGHT like, but because of the lack of information, I wasn't sure.

Yea, my friend used to have a C4U a couple months ago, and the speed was nice but i cut nearly NO corners whatsoever, so I was kinda scared about that...

As for the edison, I was kind of hesitant about putting it on the list in the first place because I doubted I would be able to find one easily. I'm probably going to cross it off the list soon...

Both F and FII are great cubes.

I've heard mixed feelings, although a couple friends of mine have type Fs. I've used them, but even through the minimal number of times I'd solved them with, I could already feel the effects of the deterioration, so I'm hoping for some more opinions on the FII, especially its comparisons to the type F.

i like the F II cuz it has a very solid feel, the old A III and new A III feel like they're going to break in my hands too much....A V is a nice change from the F II every so often
