Poll added. Would anybody be interested in custom orders?

Poll? What poll?

iSpinz, custom orders wouldn't necessarily be fair to the people who wait. Plus, what if they want a cube you can't get?
A better solution would be requests: if x amount of people wanted a specific cube, then you would get 1.5x stock of cubes, rounded up.
This ensures that you and Caedus are getting cubes the people want.

ISpinz, can you please put the link of the store in the first post please? Thanks. I keep forgetting where it is.

Also, you can check RIGHT HERE: http://www.cubingweekly.com/store.php
Remember, "cubing weekly" and "store". "Php" should come naturally.

I'll edit the first post.

@Ranzha: I was just saying that because I reembered someone posting that his school wanted to get like 20 C4Y DIY's, and we are not stocking those anytime soon, but I can easily get a discount on them for him. It's an idea.

Heh, but will it be worth your time?
If this store is going where I think it's going (up, that is), then having people making custom orders of cubes that you yourself do not own nor will stock in the near future will result in an overflow of orders that will cost you way much moar money than you have.

They would pay before I order, and I would have a minimum.

But what would be the minimum?
That is the question.
If people try for custom orders and you can't get all of said items at one store, then you're paying twice the shipping cost for what should be a bulk order, amirite?

If the store doesn't have it, they're out of luck.

Then the custom order thing will be for naught and a waste of the orderer's time and they'll never come back for an order.
If someone makes a custom order of, let's say, 2 Edison cubes, a Meffert's Pyraminx, a LanLan 3x3, and a Type C, you'll have to go to tribox.com, Mefferts.com, wherever LLs are sold, and C4Y/9sPuzzles.com to get these items. If you're not willing to go to multiple websites to complete a custom order, then what you're essentially doing is saying "Sorry, I'm not going to waste my time and money to get things for you that are too spread out."
This brings the entire store down, and ultimately will kill the store from the inside out.

Do you realize how a store works? You don't buy cubes from the competition, you buy wholesale, or in my case a store that sells almost every cube really cheap. As a matter of fact, that store has all the cube you just named and more.

Then where is this "store"?
From what you described, here's how I think it works:
1.) Person places order.
2.) You receive order and buy exact quantity and exact cubes from one other store, not bothering to get the remainder of the puzzles that are not in that other store.
3.)Once you receive that order, you ship it, saying "Thanks for placing an order, but this amount of items were unavailable" with a refund for the remainder of the not acquired items.
4.) Person who ordered receives cubes and note, and finds the remainder of the puzzles on other websites and buys them from there, and never goes back to you again.

Another option would be to, as I said, get x amount of people to want "Cube A", and you buy 1.5x stock for that item. In this case, are you going to try to buy a minimal stock of certain items, firstly to ship out to the order, and secondly to sell to the public?

I think that I agree with Ranzha here. Catering specifically to individual people is not really worth it, as we don't gain any stock, and therefore only profit from one order rather than many orders that would be made if we just stocked a cube. Maybe when we've grown and have better deals with manufacturers and such, but for now I think we'd be better off just buying more cubes.

Also, in the poll, you forgot LL, QJ, and Maru.
