Recently I've been thinking about cubing from a financial perspective. Ever since Daily Puzzles closed, there has kind of been a gap in the Australian cubing market, which leaves an opportunity for me.
My thought process was, I know a few spots I can get cheap cubes, how about I start an eBay account and just make some casual cash on the side?
In two weeks, my ad hasn't been viewed once. Oh well.
So that got me thinking about the financial position of a cubing company. Basically, I believe overheads grow faster per change in revenue growth, which means NP decreases with growth. There are two solutions. Most companies increase their price, my solution is to cut the overhead.
Presenting, The Most Speedcubing Store.
Basically, my solution is this. I look at the base market rate (SCS, The Cubicle), and find the cheapest way I can get your order to you. I then charge a percentage surcharge (order-dependent, but always justifiable) of the difference between the price you pay and what you would pay if you were getting it from a key supplier. That way, you always get a close to cheap as possible price, with a small fee being paid for logistics. This fee will basically offset the GST/sales tax you would otherwise pay anyway.
I could say something cringe like appreciate the support I'd get, but I don't need to. This is logically the only good option for buying your cubes. There is no reason to look elsewhere, I am always going to get it as cheap as possible.
To buy, either reply to this thread (preferable) or DM me, I will endeavour to give you a quote within 24 hours, time zone dependent.
Nah please actually buy DJI just released the avata 360 and I am thoroughly impressed but I don't want to hurt the savings too much to please and thank you
