What I need to Improve on

So I have been stuck at around a 14-16 second average for 3x3 for around 3 month now. I have not been consistently practicing everyday but I have been doing at least an Av12 everyday, but some days however I do averages of 50 or even 100. And if this helps I only know 40/57 OLLs. So today in hopes for advice on where to focus, I broke down my solves and did averages of each step:
Cross: 1.89
F2L: 7.39
OLL: 2.27
PLL: 2.77
I guess any time not included in these is normally pausing/lock-ups.
I will greatly appreciate all advice given on how to improve, thanks.

I am not sure how I can be of much help since you are faster than me and I use a different method, but I will give some advice anyway. Maybe a bump will give you better advice. What are your goals? Are you going for world record speed? If so, might as well learn all the OLLs. Also, your PLLs could be a little faster, but again they are faster than mine.

Other than that, you seem like you have been around long enough to know most of the F2L tricks, but maybe look into any that you might have missed or a few that save moves. It doesn't look like you pause much in your solving, but you could also practice some techniques to develop your "lookahead." Other than that, all I can suggest it the P word.

Still your times look pretty good from this perspective.

Your last layer needs the most work I would say. Learn those last OLLs, and practise PLLs using a PLL time attack. Could you give us an idea of your PLL time attack times?

Okay, I did some PLL time attacks and they were usually around 57 seconds... which is terrible considering I remember doing them months ago and getting Sub-1.

Thanks... lol. Maybe it's that I have no good cubes? My mains change between a really old Rubiks Store Bought, and a Black or a White Cube4You cube. The black one started out nice, but now it feels like it's full of crap and doesn't turn smoothly. And the white one turns nice but locks sometimes. Both of them when I try to fully tighten them, the screws keep spinning and will never be fully tightened, is that normal?

I have that problem with my Type D from cubeforyou.

As for your PLL time attacks, work on them. You could try getting a new cube, but there's no reason why the cube should make much of a difference. Check the Hardware Section for the latest on the "best cubes". I heard that the Taiyan II is now the best cube around.
