In an attempt to improve my cube, I sanded down the contacting sides of my cubelets. However now when I turn my cube it feels very GRITTY (despite the lube) and takes a lot of effort to turn; what should i do!!

please reply.

I hope you used an ultra fine sandpaper to do that.
If not... sand it over again then wash them and lube

It should be allright then

The surface should no longer look shiny after you've sanded it but it should be smooth. There shouldn't be any cuts into it that are half a millimeter deep...

That describes my cube..

I'll keep working the lube in... I'm just saying that it doesn't turn like I'm used to (not as SMOOTH?? ) haha

does this mean I have to sand it some more??

That might be normal. After I sanded and lubed my cube it wasn't as "smooth" as it first was but it turns more easily and doesn't jam. Before it couldn't cut corners and would jam frequently.

I prefer a little more friction over something that can't cut corners. :-)

but it still can't cut corners TOO well :/

I'm doing the popsicle thing now..

buying a diy cube soon :)
