It’s a QJ megaminx that I bought a week ago. I recently modded it:
1. Sanded the corners of the edge pieces. I used Stefan’s tutorial for it: http://www.stefan-pochmann.de/spocc/speedsolving/megaminx/
2. I couldn’t replace the springs with 3x3x3 springs as it was mentioned so i decided to cut them. I cut 1 ring of each springs. It works well.
3. I changed the brown face’s tiles with the yellow’s. I’m used to the yellow colour as a last layer.
Overall it turned out to be a very nice puzzle. Maybe a bit stiffer then a mefferts one and yes, sometimes it pops but totally worthed 11$!
Still improving with this one (since the colour scheme is new for me), i average around 2 minutes right now. My PB is 1:30.07 with a supernova.
How do you like the new angle with zoom?
