Today in the train I noticed I really cube differently with an (non-cuber) audience.
I cube like I do magic, Medium start, fast middle, slow finish, preferably looking one audience member in the eyes during the PLL untill I set down the cube. In other words, Yes, I show off, and no, I don't do it intentionally.

But the question: With people looking, do you cube any differently, and how different?

Yeah, not intentionally, but when I'm around people I get really nervous, and my solves are usually slower due to me trying to go fast which makes me mess up a lot. =\

I'm going to fail so badly once I finally go to a comp. -_-

I goes quick as hell, but with a relaxed attitude. And I certainly makes sure to show that i've actually solved it, by taking a short break while pretending to do something else. I usually starts with a regular speedsolve, then goes on to something more difficult, OH for example, just to show off (it's not really intentional, though)

I feel relaxed. It's like they're trying to get me a warm-up of how crows will look at me in WCA Competition. So i get used to it, knowing I'd have a similar crowd in the future.
Also, I pray not to mess up on F Perm.

Yeah, not intentionally showing off at all.

I fill my mind with the cube, i live and breath cube when i do it in front of people. Neither do i look up when someone is talking to me i answer but i dont look up.

When i finish, i show them. then its an awkward silence for me o.O

For me whenever i cube in public it is never like a real speedsolve like you do for averages stuff wat i do is sort of a run through of it slower than normal. like instead of 27-32 seconds it is like 40's. But somehow people are still impressed but usually it is just people walking by not like a whole crowd. and i never really try to show off. If they ask for me to do it fast i will but otherr than that i just do it to be more fluid with my movements and learn algorithms. :)

You have to think to yourself to try not to impress them. They will probably be amazed if you do it in a minute or 10 seconds. Since either way they will be amazed, don't try too hard to make it seem like you are the best, just go at your normal pace.
