Imagine you've solved the blue side and the first 2 layers except the yellow and red edge piece is backward (red on the yellow side, yellow on the red side).
Apart from doing 2 algorithms, (U R Ui Ri Ui Fi U F), (2U), then (U R Ui Ri Ui Fi U F) again, is there a shorter, easier algorithm?

Thanks.:p

If I understand you correctly, the then all you should have to do is (red in F) F2 U2 F2 U2 F2. Im gonna need a picture though, because I dont uderstand your question.

How do I add pictures? I'll take one now with my webcam.

I found R2 U2 (F R2 F' U2) R' U R' which works fine and is quite easy and fast from the thread teller suggested.
Why do we use brackets in the middle?

Those are just suggestions for how to group turns. I think they're a little easier to read, too.

Thanks very much.

And thanks everyone else for helping (: you rock
