I'm using the following method (layer by layer):

http://www.geocities.com/jasmine_ellen/RubiksCubeSolution.html

First layer:
-Cross
-Corners

Second layer:
-Edges

Third layer:
-Orient edges
-Permutate corners
-Orient corners
-Permutate edges

Using the above method, I've got a personal best of 50.32 seconds and an average of 58.33 seconds. So, what method should I learn next? Should I learn the Fridrich Method?

Please give me advice. Thanks a lot!:D

You should (slowly) transition to the Fridrich method.

First do 4 look last layer, 2 look OLL (edges then corners) and 2 look PLL (edges then corners).
Then learn F2L (intuitively, but learn algorithms for cases that are hard).
Learn PLL (all 21), then learn OLL (all 57), if you become serious about speedcubing.

Thanks! :D
But what is 4 look last layer, 2 look OLL (edges then corners) and 2 look PLL (edges then corners)? What do those things mean?

4 look last layer requires learning the 7 oll cases of how the pieces can look with a cross on top. so for example the fish pattern would be 1. I need to learn this.

Just wanna ask though why do people reccomend doing edges then corners for pll, I do the other way round, is there a reason for it?

Will it take me long to get really fast at doing the cross(bottom) and F2L??

i switched from layer-by-layer to fridrich f2l when i was averaging 50 seconds.. for the last layer, just know the 2 algos for flipping up edges, the 7 algos for orientating corners, then 2(or rather 1) algos for swapping corners, or 2 more for cycling edges.

I was on a situation like you, and I decided to start learning the friedrich method. Now I can solve it in sub 20 average.
