Does any one have any tips for olls as well as oll algoritums taht can or are usefull to know?

thx for the help:cool:

I would suggest just learning partial edge control, which means you don't have to learn all 57 OLL's. That is, if you don't want to learn all of them. If you don't mind, though, I would ditch the edge control and learn all of the algs.

I am running into an odd situation.

When I perform the r U R' U' r' F R F' algorithm, I end up having to then use the F' r U R' U' r' F R

I make sure that I execute the algorithms properly, sometimes the r U R' U' r' F R F' works and other times I need to use the second algorithm. Does anyone have a suggestion on an algorithm that would be more consistent? I tried searching however, I did not find anything directly related to this. I am a beginner 2-look OLL/PLL cuber so please be easy on me.

Sounds like a recognition issue...when I play your two algs backward, the case generated is not the correct one (I got the "car" case, which is F (R U R' U')x3 F'). Make sure you're looking at the right pattern.

Thank you Teller, I may be performing the algorithm incorrectly, I will run a few at a slower pace to make sure I correct this. Thank you very much for the input, I figured someone else looking at this would help.

I prefer R U2 R' U' R U R' U' R U' R' which is an Anti-Sune with a Sexy Move in the middle which doesn't have a grip change.
