Well i would like to start off by introducing myself....

My name is Andrew, i live in Houston,Texas. Right no I am 12 Year olds. I have been speedcubing for a month. I want to say that im very determined to be really good and I wish to goto competition one day(if they ever have any in houston.)

I use a Intuitive fridrich method. (i also made a tutorial :D http://youtube.com/watch?v=e7brv_y4Hew -RATE AND SUBSCRIBE PLEASE)

Then i do a Universal Last layer.

My PB: 52 seconds
and avg: 1:10

I know all of the cases. But im still slow.. The answer why, would be I need to look ahead!

Its so hard for me to look ahead ;[.

Also what is Extended cross i hear people talking about it.

How can i learn how to solve cross on bottom in 7 moves....I triedd but i cant do it. COuld someone point me to a good tutorial or can someone make a video tut of it?

Also anyone want to provide and advice :D

Thanks and MAke me feel welcome ;D

I also need a tutorial on getting a better cross.

Im still a beginner but, the way to get good at look ahead (although im not that good) is to practice solving slowly and and a steady pace, but looking for your next move whilst performing the current one. Eventually this becomes natural and you do it at full speed.

how long does it take to kick in the full speed lookahead?

Probably about 2500 solves (rough estimate)

so roughly 4 days if i solve non stop so about 1 week. :D

Well maybe if you were to cube non-stop lol. Although you were given an estimation of cubes, time also plays a factor.

As a hypothetical example: You do something for the first time, and at first you can't do it, then after an hour of practise, you can do it fairly consistently. You then don't do it for a week. After that week you try again, and at first you can't do it, but within a few minutes, you're back to where you were last time.
This is an advanced development process in humans (you wouldn't understand how it works even if I tried to explain (I don't really know either xD)), but the idea being, that with time you get better at things, without even practising.
Try 2500 cubes over a period of 4 weeks, then you'll master it. If you do it in a few days, you won't make much progress. Patience is, unfortunately, a factor.

Hope that I helped!

I understand :D thanks.

I know that this is the kind of answers I did not like but cross is really difficult to explain, it will come with the experience. Just do a lot of cubes... If you have some difficult cross from time to time, just stop the timer and try to find a nice solution to it no matter how long it takes you.
To help looking ahead, just go slowe but try to be more fluent. Something that could help at the begining is after you paired a corner and an edge you look for the next pair before inserting the first pair, try to follow this second pair and so on...

Thx!:) I am really bad at doing the cross................seems that practice is the only way........................

Well im stuck at 1min..

=/ i really wanna get sub 40...

but like idk why im slow....
