After watching through some of the videos I recorded of myself, I realized that my main problem is right after my cross. It seems that I have problems transitioning between the cross and the F2L.

I was wondering if there was any way to decrease the time it takes me to go from cross to F2L (other than going slow and looking ahead).

Three words.

Look.

Ahead.

More.

Going slower to get your look ahead better will do you much, much more good than rushing it just so you are fast. I find that I can still hit my average by turning slower and thinking more.

Thank you Rubik's Cube Fan! Your video was very helpful indeed ^_^ I've never thought of solving the cross each time as a little algorithm in its own. Like, my average is 24 secs~ but my cross transition is probably 3-4 seconds all in its own. I'll try this out tomorrow!

I find this interesting, every once in a while, I try to do a Fridrich solve (not timed, just to remind myself how much more I like Roux). As soon as I finish the cross I look to see if there are any edge pieces on the top and if they are I look for the edge to pair up with it. Sorry I can't really give any good advice because I don't use Fridrich.

Oh that's nice to hear! I'm glad you learned something from it. :)
