when should i learn my pll and oll?

Yup, this was how my training goes long ago:

1. Full PLLS ( from the common ones: A, U, H, Z, E - then J , R, T, F, V, Gs and N)
2. Olls? ( Still Not fully memorize yet >_<) - Common ones and expand to fews..

Addition:

Cross is like an art (some lines from Dan Harris sites and speedcubing book) but basically just to see where which edge goes to where and practise as if its like a second nature to you. Experience will come~

F2L - as most experienced cubers say.. go for intuitive f2l and learn only few algorithm f2l that are simple, sometimes, some keyhole method is applicable.

hmm, how long did any of you take to memorize all pll/oll?

thanks

Quite a short time if you are dedicated enough. For me, memorizing is like 3 days to a week. The hard thing is how i apply it on my cube if the case happens and the question whether my fingers/muscle memorize the sequence already. Also, over time you might find that the algorithms are quite not to your likings and search for another algorithm of the same PLLs/OLLs.

with 4-LLL you can get sub 35 easily.. but sub-30 is harder..

when you are sub-35 I suggest learning all the PLL-s and then when sub-25 then all OLL-s.

wtf, i have sub 30 with 4lll. i dont even know all of the 2 look yet, so its more like 5-lll.i guess i need to to learn the algs now too

that was my point.. I got sub-30 too :)

But about that he F2L is the biggest time improver at all. Good F2L lets even sub-15 with some pogobat-s LL tutorials.

Seriously, there is no 'when should I learn this/that'..learn it when you feel like it..learn full PLL and OLL when you average 2mins..it doesn't matter. We all end up the same =p

In fact I believe if you start learning early you won't feel so demotivated when learning something new slows down your solve.

lol, but i spend like 20 seconds on f2l (i suck at look a head).

Why make another topic when I can post here?

I can get sub-25, but not consistently. I am consistently sub-30 though, and I have gotten one sub-20 solve.

Should I start learning full OLL now?

PLL First, one or two a day. Do it repeatedly, come back in 5 mins, do it again, repeat until you think you know it well. Come back tomorrow, repeat, learn a new alg, repeat

I can get sub 40 averages ussing both two looks. I want to learn full PLLs, but I am having a very hard time memorising them. the others were easier because they came up so frequently and I could muscle memorise them. I'm BAD at memorising strings of letters and translating them into moves.

does anyone else have similar difficulties? if so what helped you memorise them?

thanks
