I noticed that I didn't cube much last week. Now, I've done at least 30 solves today, and I'm around 55 seconds, some solves even a minute, and I'm not sure why. Is it because I need to re-adjust to cubing? If so, how do I do that? I figured large amounts of solves plus lots of warm-up would do the trick, but maybe it doesn't..

Example: Here's 8 times I just did: 54.61, 50.43, 52.04, 58.17, 45.11, 52.51, 32.13, 51.42. As you can see, they've gone down from say 55-58 seconds but they're still higher than normal..

...?

anyway, I would think you would slow down a bit from being out of practice and need a bit of readjustment and practice to pick back up. Make sure your cross isnt whats slowing you down, I tend to suck at the cross when I dont cube for a few days

Well, 32.13 was a PLL skip, so.. Also, my signature is outdated, I just updated it with my new PB. Yeah, come to think of it my cross isn't in tip-top shape, so I might work on it. Thanks. :)

I think I need to cool down a bit, and focus on warming-up for a bit. I think I've done enough cubing for today..

I thought it was just me. I can go a month without cubing and everything will be fine but the cross. I wonder why that is.

Thanks, rubiknewbie. I think that's what I was trying to explain, but who knows? Anyway, I think I found the reason why I was slowing down. It turned out that I was using Beginner's method PLL and not 2-Look PLL. With 2 Look PLL, my times went back to normal. :D
