All of a sudden you're faster

Well, I've been between 20 and 25 for a long time now (about 2 weeks) and finally, while doing an average of 12 I got 5 lucky solves, and the average dropped to 19.49! I hope I can keep it down there...

That happened to me a few years ago for the 4x4, started on a plane flight and continued though the day. As I recall I dropped 40s-1min off my average. I didn't think too much of it at the time because I still wasn't very fast. ~2m

I dropped 30 seconds off my 5x5 last fall, and started to get sub-3m times, now I'm at 2:20.

Then in the Aurora Summer Open I dropped 30 seconds off the 5x5 and got an official 1:56 average (with best of 1:44.41). I've never been able to get close to that again.

Weird things happen sometimes in cubing.

HA I remember recording those solves for you

I was doing about 5-7 average with my pyraminx last week... and with one day pause my times felt down to 3-4 average =D (I have been down there before :-) but that's long time ago haha xD)

Just happened to me today. I dropped a few seconds and am now at about 24-25 seconds fairly consistently. I "noticed" that my turning style had changed quite noticably (I know that sounds strange).
