i have done the F2L using F2L from fridrich and now i am scared to do the normal 3x3x3 algs incase i ruin the F2L!

please advise me

why are you scared that you're gonna ruin the f2l, when you know you can just start again..?

F2L only solves the first two layers. So the act of solving the last layer is a seperate section. I am currently learning beginner F2L now.

It's a 3x3.. that's stickered differently.. YES I am sure.

but im worried it will change centre orientation

(it took me all night to figure how to do F2L!)

I think the worst you'll have to do is a U turn or two when you're done. But I could be wrong..

But try it. So what if we're wrong and it jacks up, you need the practice anyway, right?

Imma 'bout to fall off the edge of my seat here waitin' for you to just try it! :P

Well, I'm pretty sure that most OLLs and PLLs won't mess with the F2L's centre orientation.. but they might!

Try a T-perm twice, see what it does :D

Just flip the centers last.

TO PUT YOU OUT OF YOUR MISSERY:

i did just use the normal 3x3x3 algs, and then two centers were messed up. I scrambled and solved up until the last two centers again. I am going to go hunting for the alg to OLC (orientate last centers)!

Enjoy your hunting. I use [M' U M, E] and (R' U' R U')5.

:fp

Michael, those algs are great! I feel so stupid for never having thought to do either of those before.

In the past I've used [M E' M', U] and R L U2 L' R' U' R L U2 L' R' U' respectively. I like your algs better for both cases though, and I plan to switch ;-)
