Ha well all the CLS algs I know use the DRF slot. I'm merely bringing the corner to that slot by using D rather than rotating.

I haven't thought of that. Nice job, it eliminates cube rotations. You can also do D/D' instead of D2. Nice find.

It works just fine with MGLS-F also.

I've tried it. I like cube rotations better because you don't have to undo them.

Hmm, I actually never thought of using this. It sounds brilliant for its simplicity, and allows for PLL/PLL AUF recognition during ADF/Adjust-with-u after CLS.

However, I had to try a few solves to realize why I didn't think of this: I have gotten used to solving so that the LS ends up at FR by the end of F2L.
