Good job Jon, you came so close to Dan, but Dan somehow absolutely coincidentally guessed correct that you will be one place after him so that 3 USA 5x5ers are connected on the rankings list, haha.

Jason Baum could've done better?

Congratz to Chris and his 4x4 BLD, came so close to WR.

EDIT: Congratz to Mike Hughey too! for blindfolding both big cubes successfully !!

Jon, you seemed to have a rough magic day... Lots of DNF's... Try slowing down and sacrificing best time for average time (if this makes any sense). Nice master magic and magic single solves though! You tied craig bouchard for it.
Good job on the 5x5 and 4x4! Seemed like a fun competition, too bad i couldn't make it :(. maybe next time :D.

Virginia Open was awesome :)
I was there, little short guy, 12 years old, green shirt, black hair, asked a lot of F2l "?"s >.<
My first competition(Placed 12th), and am definitely looking forward to another event.
Surprisingly, I my first sub 30 average, which I usually get 35ish at home.
I kinda sucked at the second round though.

I think you placed 15th, but congratz on your first sub 30 average done at a competition!

I just noticed Mike's whole family, Congratz to your whole family! :)

Sikan: My last time was actually a 2:02.xx, which would've given me a 2:02.xx average. Going to get that fixed soon. ;)

Sam: Oh well, we'll see next year! :D

Edit: Emailed Adam Zamora two hours ago, hopefully it'll get double-checked and fixed.

Yeah - I hadn't realized how close he came! It was so nice to see him in action - he and Daniel are both amazing at big cubes BLD!!

Thank you - I had a blast!

I just noticed Mike's whole family, Congratz to your whole family!

Thanks - I think they all enjoyed it!

Oh, and congratulations to Jon for a great 5x5x5 average!!!

Also, I have videos of the 3x3x3 final.

All 5 of Chris's solves, 3 of Jason's, 3 of Mitchell's solves (including his 12.72), 4 of Rowe's, and 2 of Tim's. I thought I got 4 videos of all of the above, but I guess not...

Funny story about my last solve; I had a U2 left and I slipped, and it fell on the floor... I just hit the timer. XD

So it was a +2 ? You're lucky that your cube didn't shatter like Alex Mason's, he finished and his cube shattered for a DNF when he was trying to stop the timer.

Yeah, the 25.xx was a +2. Store-bought cubes rock.

You'd get a 2:01.62 average! Good enough for #11 in the world!! Congratz!

If they fix it... Which I really hope they do. :)

Heh, your judge marked it as DNF at first but I and someone else got it fixed.

Nice job everyone who competed, Mitchell, Jonathan, etc. My dad has a bit of video including my 12.18 which I'll get on youtube soon.

Alex Mason's cube was a store bought cube, that's why he couldn't reattach the center.

It's too bad you didn't get that easy scramble! A 10.xx official solve would've been awesome!

I know...for those who weren't there, Adam and Chris and Nick scrambled and stuff, then they went with different scrambles. I was judging Chris on one and I was like...wow, that scramble is really easy. So I went over and scrambled my cube with it and got like 10.53 on it or something (3 move cross with a connected pair, nice F2L, and then like an easy OLL and a PLL skip). Oh well, I was content with my times of the day.

And I just noticed, I managed to get all my 3x3 times sub-20 today (or yesterday I guess now). That was a goal for me for a while, I'm glad I got it.

@Tim, why didn't you compete in the magics??? Anyway, amazing 3x3 times!! same to mitchell with his 12 seconds cubes. He probably thought they were bad times :P.
