I bought a DIY cube from Rubiks.com and the middle pieces keep popping off, especially the yellow one so I just keep that one off. Is there any trick to keeping them on? Or did I assemble it wrong? I just think it's ridiculous to expect a piece like that to fit and stay on. Any tips?

get a hammer or some kind of tool similar to that, and with the back side of the hammer, hammer the little circularish/squarish thing sticking out on the center piece all around it, making lines.

I use sticky tack to keep center caps down, it works perfectly.

This thread is really old.
Gluing isn't a bad idea as long as it doesn't get on the outside of the piece, and you only use a little just so you can get it back off. Sticky tack can work perfectly, but it also can slow your cube down. I have never used it, never wanted to use it, because if it touches the screw at all, it will slow down the cube.

Rubik's DIY center caps are hopeless. There's nothing holding the piece on. Nothing. You have to glue it or stick it with something.

I used a dab of superglue--it was fine, they pop back off without too much trouble.

Wow, haha, I didn't even realize the dates, I saw it on the homepage and thought it was new. I just went along with the bump :p

yeah, I went to read the original post and saw it was 2 years ago. That is usually the first thing I look at, but I wasn't complaining about it to anybody who thought I was, it is better to bump an old thread than to make a new one.

if you guys are smart use a piece of ceramic magnet aka ferrite magnet get 6 glue em on to back on centre cap hope it fits 70% it will and then it will stick it self to ur screw
