Am I ready?

I was just wondering if you guys think I'm ready to start with Fridrich... I've tried Petrus, but I don't like it.

Right now, I'm getting 1:22 average of five solves with the beginner method.

I've just started doing the cross on D. I just got used to doing corners with cross on D. I've been using 1 keyhole for F2L. For the last layer, I orient the corners and get the corners in. I use Sune to permute the corners and Allan to finish the cube. & I'm good with finger tricks.

Should I start with Fridrich now?
Do I practice a little bit more?

& If I start Fridrich, what are the OLLs and PLLs I need to know? I think I might just use some for now and then memorize the rest later. Like, what numbers or letters should I memorize first?

(I'm using a store bought cube right now... Getting my DIYs within this week [C4Y Type-A])

Oh yeah! Do I break in the DIYs before lubing them? Should I lube them with the stickers on?

The OLL and PLL would be the 7 OLL with edges correctly oriented and PLL would be U and A perms. From what you said I think you are ready to learn Fridrich, 1:58 was my PB before I started learning.

Wow... my PB average was like 35 before i switched over. Initially I didn't even want to learn F2L. I think my beginner method was better than what most people use for the LL. Depending on you're breakdowns, f2l may be the first thing to learn. I know now, I can average mid 20s with my beginner LL. I'm a little slower when I use my beginner's F2L. It's really all up to you.

Wow, I started learning Fridrich when my PB was in the 30s... I actually didn't think I needed another method other than beginner's hehehe.

Anyway, I suggest you learn F2L first so that later while learning PLLs and OLLs you will have already improved in doing the Fridrich F2L.

The 1st OLL algorithms you should learn are the ones that have the edges correctly flipped, there are only 7 cases to learn then you should learn all 21 PLLs. I assume you already how to make a cross on the U face after finishing the F2L.

Dang. 30s... That's kinda fast with the beginner method. My fastest solve was 46 seconds...

I don't really like the Fridrich F2L... I can do it (except for the last slot)... Maybe I'm just not used it it. I really like the keyhole method and I can do it fast.

Only 7 OLLs are really needed if you can assemble a cross? I think I might try to memorize all of them... I think I'm going to use flash cards. Do all of the OLLs in the OLL collection work?

fridrich f2l takes practice so you should just start now. dont see why you have trouble with the last slot. you only need one empty slot (which is always there until you complete f2l) to hide the edge/corner for fridrch f2l, maybe you haven't gotten use to it.

you should memorize all 7 OLLs, and of course all OLLs in the OLL collection work

Good job, I applaud you're persistence. What do you do for the LL? My method did EO, EP, CP, CO. It was relatively fast because it used sunes and commutators, and I got really fast at the RDR'D' twist commutator.

I've been hearing about LBL... What is it? Is it the one where you learn like one OLL and 4 PLLs?
