Like I replied to him already: The plural of opinion is not fact.

Certainly not DNF, *maybe* +2 because of hands or magic not flat enough. That is, if you go by the letter of the WCA rules, are very strict, and have the video evidence. I think in a real WCA competition this would be considered 0.72 and valid.

Stachu, what's your reason for +2?

The one tile seems a bit high, but I can't confirm that it's above 2 tiles' length. I think that it's more along the lines of 1.5tiles, which is fine.

Very nice solve!

10g1) If one tile or two adjacent tiles are elevated too high or folded, and the puzzle is otherwise solved, then the puzzle is considered solved, with a penalty of 2 seconds. In all other cases the result is DNF.

If you pause it on the slow motion at the moment your hands touch the timer (about 23 seconds) you can see that quite a few tiles are elevated.
So I'm guessing that's where people are getting DNF's and +2's from, but I agree with Stefan that you'd only ever notice something like that with video evidence and were being super strict.
Unless that panel on the bottom right is lifted up higher than 'two tiles higher than flat' I think it'd be valid in competition.

It goes by the resting position of the puzzle, not the position when the timer is stopped. Otherwise people wouldn't get so many +2s on 2x2, where it often bounces around and then turns after the timer is stopped.

There is no doubt in my mind that it was not elevated beyond 2 tiles. With the magics in certain lighting, shadows will make it look as though they are elevated a lot more than they are. I will also concur that the hand position is legal (just barely though, you might want to watch it in the future).

Your solve is fine Oskar, just ignore the people who are harassing you.

Oh i wasn't arguing it. I was just trying to come up with some reason people might be giving hassle about it.
