Paralyzed (my times, not me)

Learn new fingertricks, algs and methods. Sometimes it feels like you can't get better but it is like that. You practise and practise and nothing happens.. Times even get worse sometimes. and then jsuddenly one day you make new PB and all the times are so much better than before. I had something like that.

But still PRACTISE! :D
And what are you're records? Then I can give you some hints maybe if I know.

What's helpful to me is to change puzzles occasionally. I spent most of the last two months doing OH and 4x4x4 solves, but now I'm concentrating on 3x3x3. For me, at least, doing the same puzzle over and over gets frustrating.

Plus, doing different puzzles can help your times. Even though I wasn't practicing much 3x3x3 during the time I mentioned, my times dropped by about a second because I improved at cubing in general. It forces you to look at what you're doing in different ways.

SAME.

I practice for 30-45 minutes per day. I use f2l, 2-look OLL and almost full PLL (I still have a few more to learn). I look ahead on F2L, always find optimal cross solutions (7 moves) and utilize finger tricks to speed up my last layer. I have an old Type A DIY which is a very good cube. But I'm actually getting worse. My times get gradually worse during a session. My first solve is usually sub-50, the next few are sub-minute, and all the rest are sup-minute. And my overall average times have not increased for a couple of weeks.

How much of an improvement in time is FULL PLL over 2 look PLL?

Only reason why I ask is because good cubers can get sub 30 pretty easily with 4LLL and the difference is like 6 algs vs 21.

I admit I'm a lazy cuber, but I am not staring down sub 20 second times anytime soon. I've only been cubing for about 4 month so far :)

yeah, you will have to be patient, one random day while you are practicing, you will find you self like 1 or 2 seconds faster, but it comes up randomly , but that is only me

It cuts about 6-10 moves off of your solve, although it does take a bit longer to recognize the cases. It's probably about the same time at first, but when you get really good at case recognition and learn good fingertricks for all the algs it should decrease your time by at least a few seconds. I'm not having nay trouble with it al all really, the algorithms aren't that hard and there's not that many of them. 21 might seem like a lot but it's not that hard to learn them all.
