So i have a c4u DIY it is cool and all but it has an odd tendency to simply catch its self and look at me like it wants to pop. It may be because i am overturning it a bit but i generally have very nice turns. I was wondering which DIY cube type would be the best to buy to be a new speed cube or at least one i can pick up n get good times with? or maybe even a Diansheng I've seen people say how good those are. Any help would be sweet. :)

Don't get a type a II. C4Y accidentally sent me one and I was too lazy to send it back for what I ordered. They have ridges on the edge pieces and are really really bad.

Type D's don't pop. If that's why you want a new cube then I would recommend that. The old type D is much better than the new one and you can get it from 9spuzzles.com. It's called the YUGA cube. I love my white one.

C4U cubes are tricky. They're very slick, but they don't like to be pushed hard. Press very gently and it won't lock. Finding the sweet spot between speed and grace on the c4u is an art form, but if you find it you can rock it. The c4u is kinda like Pac-man--you don't move the joystick until right before you're about to make a change in direction.

That said, I find the Type F to be the most powerful cube I've come across. Just incredible corner cutting, better than the A, without all the ridiculous popping.

So i was looking at type f's and was wondering dose their caps fall off much? because it looks like every piece has a cap.
