I remember once seeing a thread linking to a webpage or program that could generate a nice picture of a cube from an input of sticker colors.
I'm in the process of finding good F2L algorithms and I want pictures for each case.
I don't like the cube explorer generated pictures, though. (they are useful for setting up situations, but not for looking at)

Maybe such a thing doesn't exist and I have to program it myself or use MSPaint.

Getpaint.net

One of the plugins there for Paint.NET can generate cube images.

Thanks for joining just to tell me, sergio!
How do you generate the images, blah?

through an HTTP GET request. you put that http://software.rubikscube.info/icube/icube.txt somewhere with the files in your webserver (rename it to icube.php), then you can create an image by placing "img" HTML tags like this one:

<img src="icube.php?n=2&fl=yyyybbbbrrrr&f=png" />

a little explanation of the parameters used here:
n = 2 <- tells we are drawing a 2x2x2 cube. by default, it draws a 3x3x3 one.
fl <- these are the stickers. you will put the 2x2x2 visible stickers (2 for the upper layer, 2 for the front layer and 2 for the right layer), y being yellow, b blue and r red
f = the file format for the image we are generating, in this case png (it could be gif or jpg, gif being the default, if I remember well)

Its page http://software.rubikscube.info/icube/ contains more info on its usage, more params options, size options and the alike. Feel free to read it more carefully (I just came across that page last night, so I am still learning what it can do myself heh. I have to say I am really impressed with Josef Jelinek's work. I really liked that piece of code :)). Hope this helps.
