Hey, I was wondering what method everyone uses for the 4x4, and what do you think is fastest. I learned the edges then corners method, but now ive found a cool k4/f2l method. you solve the edges of only one side, put the corners in while trying to pair it with 1 corresponding edge, and then singly insert the rest of the edges.

the only problem im having is on the last layer, finishing the edges. I dont kno where to find to do this so any help would be appreciated :D.

I wont be much help with the K4 method :-P

It's been discussed a bit on the forum though. Try searching :-)

The method I use (and probably a common one):
Cross
Edges
F2L
4LLL (three L's ladies)
Parity

The first time I solved a 4x4x4 was using a method similar to K4 in 8 hours. After that I put it down for over 6 months.

A friend suggested a layer by layer method for the 3x3x3 so I tried to apply that to the 4x4x4. The hardest part was completing the upper face.

I think I used the UFR+FR+DFR group of cubies to temporarily store the upper face cubies while arranging them. I really can't remember it...

I've fallen victim to the CFOP corruption >=D
