We need to fight back. (Serious)

Cool, you ignored Fred's question. Instead of going on a long rant about how sad you are that people don't like your nonsensical and flat out mean opinion, please give actual proven evidence to back your opinion. Oh wait, there isn't any; feel free to prove me wrong, though. : D
I had already answered this. I think Clock is an interesting unique puzzle that does not belong in the WCA, however I could appreciate it more if it was its own thing.

You want to ruin the competition experience for fans of the 7th most popular event for nonsensical reasons. Yes, you are being a jerk.
I do not want the competition experience ruined but

It only ruins it if you make it start a World Clock Association and have your own competitions

Another good point I read was that clock is the best puzzle for colorblind solvers.
As a colorblind solver I agree with this. The thing is my Shengshou clock is red and the 12 hour marks are green, I had to color over them with a black sharpie because I was having problems seeing them lol.

Personally, I think that 5BLD is the pinnacle of cubing. I feel like an official 5BLD success is the kind of thing many cubers aspire to, similar to killing the ender dragon in Minecraft, and removing it could make cubing aimless. Obviously, not everyone is set on a 5BLD success, but there aren't many comparable achievements.

i wish there was something more we can do. there’s already talk abt a organization for flat puzzles but what about other events when they get removed??

hopefully the WCA stops soon and actually listens to the comunity
NWCA Will be created if more events are removed. (New WCA)

How will you carry this out tho? Why should we just be content with the WCA removing events? Even if you made this "NWCA", how would you get competitions started? It would likely end up being online competitions, if it went anywhere at all. We should protest and refuse to give in now before it gets to that point.
NEVER. GIVE. UP.

I would never want it to get to that point. I am all for the protest.

I'm the person who left this comment, and I've seen this screenshot posted several places. So I do want to clarify it just to make sure everyone understands what I mean.

During the conversation, Abdullah said something to the effect of "Clock needs to be removed and we've been trying do to this for a while. But other controversies kept coming up and so it was delayed." With that reasoning and other comments, I could tell that this was something that he felt strongly about.

"What about FMC and Big BLD" was something that we (me and my friend) mentioned to him. The "something needs to be done" point doesn't necessarily mean removal, the implication that I got was making them be part of a lower tier of events. It's hard to say for sure about anything, but after talking with him I don't personally believe these events will be outright removed, although I could be wrong. Only time will tell.

i dont think we should diminish events

I interpret this as the WCA wanting to do something with Big BLD and FMC within the WCA without removing it, like making a separate category or something.

I don't understand what it achieves, though. Putting events like 5BLD and FMC into a different category that prevents them from being held at major competitions just punishes their solvers who barely get to compete anywhere even more.
333.fm has a weekly FMC league with 60 competitors, including many top players such as Wong Chong Wen, Brian Johnson, and Radomił Baran. I'm joining the upcoming season.

Cubing contests.com allows video submissions for big blind and multi blind.

We can still cube and compete without the WCA.
