Hi everyone! I picked up cubing on Feb 24th, 2026 so I'm quite new to all this. All I have right now is a 3x3x3 Rubik's cube. I watched badmephisto's video tutorial on YouTube for the beginner's method and got my first solve a few days ago. Even though it took me maybe 3 hours, it was the most fun I've had in a while. These past few days I've been trying to remember the beginner's method and solving the cube without looking up the algorithms. After learning to standardize my white cross I managed to solve the cube in 2 minutes and 15 seconds! Now that I'm comfortable with the beginner's method, I'm working on CFOP, still at the F2L step. I'm trying to do it mostly intuitively instead of memorizing too many algorithms. I'm very slow right now but I hope that with practice I will get better.
In terms of other puzzles, I don't own any Rubik's cube adjacent ones, but I love solving the Sudoku everyday. My other hobbies include piano, guitar, reading, drawing, playing video games, working out, and watching anime. I'm from India and currently in college. I love math, philosophy, and neuroscience. I'm not too sure what to do after graduating, but I will figure it out along the way.
