Tronto's 16 move FMC single is now the longest lasting record in WCA history!

[OtaMota]

Reaching 2443 days (over 6 years), it has tied Maciej’s 0.49 2x2 single as the longest standing WR in WCA History*

The FMC record has lasted since June 2019

*WCA history is defined as since the wca was incepted in 2004. Minh Thai’s 22.95 happened in 1982, so did not take place during the history of the wca

we need @BVCuber13 to get a 15 move FMC solve using the Charlie Holmes method

My prediction is that there will be exactly one 15 somewhere way down the line which will be perma-WR for the far foreseeable future. Definitely not soon though, I could easily see this standing for another 5-10 years.

Also if there are any skilled FMCers here, I'm curious what kind of results you've gotten at home. Any 16s or even a 15?

This is actually really cool. A fifteen is a lot harder to get than a sixteen, and considering how hard it is to g3t a 16, this record is no where near close to getting vroken anytime soon. But who knows? Prove me wrong.
