Cubing off-season discussion

Well, we are now in a cubing off-season because it's around Christmas, and no WCA comps are being organized (other than PBQ sometimes, but I don't count those)

I think the off-season is around Nov 25 to Jan 10
And I don't like that no comps are being organized, I'm not asking people to sacrifice their Christmas to organize a comp, don't get me wrong
What are your thoughts on the "off-season"?

My area doesn’t really experience an off season because the delegates are goated here, the only month Ive ever gone without a comp is may and also ive had comps in December and January for the 3 years Ive been competing (November Ive had 2/3)

WCA off season doesnt mean cubing off season.
it means winter break and more time to cube

Well like my entire year is an off season, theres only ever been 2 or 3 comps within a 2 hour drive for me. But the goated delegate Scott Hunter, who is from the same general area as me, is hopefully gonna make more comps in the area

1 of those comps being next feb, hopefully I can go.

Earliest comp ive had ever, january 18th 2025

today (and yesterday) is irelands last comp of the year, and there isn't another one until 17th of January.

The only one that is gonna happen in my state is the eastern part of my state, which is a PBQ comp

the first comp of 2025 in UK is on the 3rd or 4th of jan i believe

Cubing "off-season" for me is just 6 weeks of grind time over the summer holidays, usually featuring NZ Nats and Oceanics ‍‍

China also took a 20-day break despite Christmas not being an official holiday in China. Comps resume on the 20th of december
