New Mod Suggestion For 2026 ?

Hiya !

If you dont know, @abunickabhi has recently been demoted from their position as Super Mod.

In a thread about them and their promotion (and demotion) I mentioned something about there possibly being new mods + stuff to make mods actually mods.

Some of the posts below argued for and against the adding of more mods.

So I am going to make a poll on this thread asking whether or not you think that there should be more mods + if the mods need more tools to use (e.g kicks/bans).

Assuming the majority wants more mods, I think that there should be a thread dedicated to suggesting people as mods/applying as mods (I am happy to make a survey for applicants), and submission and that runs for x amount of time (idk like 3 months ?), and then the big guys can pick who they want as mod. Ofc this depends if they are good with this, but theres really no other way to try get this stuff to happen then make a entire thread to discuss this.

he said this: “Nominate me for mod. My platform is forbidding all zoomer / gen alpha slang. And off topic posts will be removed with extreme prejudice”
I’m not sure if he was talking about removing the off-topic section as well but if he wasn’t then his “idea” would be good because removing off topic posts outside the off topic area (not counting profile posts) will
1. declutter the forums
2. promote the use of the off topic forums section more

and zoomer/gen alpha slang isn’t even really that cool and it kinda gets overused a lot so yes if I were to nominate someone I would probably say qwr (assuming he doesn’t mean removing off topic section)

no disrespect to you, you're a good member of the forum you would NOT be a good moderator. mods have a huge responsibility, and by your actions u haven't been the most mature person on this forum. again I think ur a cool dude, but not fit for mod

Yeah i thought i mentioned that i personally thought theres no other reason for me to be mod.

i think Athefre is too busy designing methods to be a mod, and that’s not a problem because the more methods the merrier

qwr is my top candidate because it seems he’s strict enough to follow the rules, which means inappropriate behavior, or anything that goes against the forum rules will not be tolerated, which is something that SS needs. A lot of members say “don’t bump threads” “stop necroposting” but the person who is necroposting won’t listen because nothing happens to anyone after necroposting, which makes it seem like it isn’t a big deal.

idk you are more of a balanced person so you are serious when you need to be serious and casual when the situation is not so serious

Yeah if I should give my 2 cents about a new mod, I wouldn't like qwr as he would be wayy too strict, he eyes up every post he doesn't like or something like that, he literally eyed up a post of mine where I gave someone an advice
