Hello everyone please solve my problem 1 look last layer( 3by3 rubiks cube)

About me:
I’ve been cubing casually for a few years and average around 1:10. I know beginner F2L, but I still do cross and last layer with the beginner method.

Recently I discovered 1LLL. It fascinated me… until I saw the 3916 algorithms. I’ve seen people like EDMarter using 1LLL, and it made me want to learn it too. I have the resources—except a way to generate the algorithms.

I’m an extremely weird, very unusual, rare kind of person, and instead of finishing full CFOP (2-look OLL/PLL → 1-look OLL/PLL), my brain got completely stuck on 1LLL. Now it’s all I think about, but it also drains me. My mind keeps telling me to learn 1LLL, yet I’m not sure if it’s even worth it.

So the real question: Is 1LLL worth learning or not? Or should i just learn 1look oll and pll

PLEASE HELP!!!

Edit: guys pls read it fully my q is is 1lll worht it or not

if you average 1:10, then you ABSOLUTELY NEED to get your average down to at least sub 20 in order to start learning 1LLL. I don't even know why you are considering this, as just learning full OLL and PLL has gotten my average down to low 8 seconds.

You're not even sub 1 minute, try focusing on full oll and pll and improve cross and F2L till you become at least sub 15 to try something like 1LLL

I think this is an unhealthy obsession

pTr here,

I have a lot of thoughts about this. I'll be as short as possible while saying everything I want to (and remain on topic). I have ordered my thoughts into, what I think is, most important to least important.

1) Cubing should not become a chore or task that you feel like you are obligated to do. Any decision that you make, with what you want to do with your hobby, should focus only on what ever makes you "tick". If you want to learn 1LLL, then do it. There will be people who can make that easier and have resources for you to make that happen.

2) Learning this alg set will not make you faster. Learning this alg set will require a LOT of time. Learning this alg set will be VERY hard.

3) don't worry I have up on OLL and I'm almost sub-20, I'm also learning ZBLL bc I think that it's fun. Do I use ZBLL in my solves, maybe 1 in every 100. But I don't regret that I'm trying to do this.

unless you are trying to get sub-yiheng

You sure 1lll learning is not worth like really it wouldnt reduce time? REALLY???

The amount of algs (almost 4000) won't be of benefit because of the need to recall and to have good dexterity with all those algs. For zbll (roughly 10% of that amount of algs) this problem exists and makes it hard to achieve fast times consistently. If you are 1:10 try to have more realistic goals like finishing PLL and then OLL.

The best way to achieve nothing is to try to achieve everything

It would reduce the time but very marginally compared to doing like anything else. I think Edmarter only improved by like 1 or 2 seconds while learning full 1LLL, and then after he learned it he improved his F2L and saved like 3 seconds right away. You can learn 1LLL if you want, for fun, but don't think it's gonna be super helpful for speed.

SWAGRID YOU ALONE SAVED ME WITH THOSE 67 WORDS AND 266 LETTRRS

Actually i was just curious and im not even into competion really i do cubing for fun and was just you can say EXTREMELY CURIOUSSS but thanks to you i now undertsand i thought it would reduce my time by a great margin or if not that great atleats by noticible but after some calculation i did i can say the difference is EXTREMELY SMALL like at the very maximum literal human limit even if we ignore recog snd etc. It would reduce like 0.8 s at the MOST!!! So thank you SWAGRID i can now brethe in peaaace! And heres some reward for you!!

I think that on average, the time that it would take to recall the cases would harder and longer. That being said, if you put enough time to it, it will really help your time. after learning 1LLL you just have to figure out how you like getting to 1LLL, Coss F2L, blockbuilding, roux style. It's up to you. But, if you want to learn 1LLL, then do it. I fully support that and I'm more than happy to help as much as I can.
