Don't Win in Winter 2026! Round 1 starting now! Open until January 19!

I am back with another forum comp, although it won't start until the new year. It is Don't Win in Winter 2026! As you could probably tell from the name, the first ranked competitor will be eliminated from each round! In addition to #1 being eliminated, there will be 75% proceed to next round every time (to prevent competitors from DNFing on purpose or having really slow times on purpose to avoid placing first). There will be 5 events: 3x3, 4x4, OH, Clock, and Skewb. Registration will end January 5, and we will begin the competition. Each week there will be a round where you do an ao5 of your events, and then at the end of the week I will post results and competitors will be eliminated (1st place, and bottom 25%). We will keep doing this for the events until they run out of people. If you have any questions, be sure to reach out.

Simply do an ao5 of the events you are competing in, and the bottom 25% will be eliminated, in addition to the first place competitor. Keep in mind a competitor with only DNF/DNS results will not move on. Other than that, you can use whatever means necessary to not get first and not get in the bottom quarter. You will submit in a google form (scrambles will be on the form, and I will not post results until the round is over. I will also promise to not look at the other results myself until I finish all my solves.

There will be 5 events: 3x3, and 4 others that YOU will choose. I have a google form to decide the other 4 events (it's completely anonymous, and you don't have to be competing to fill it out. The more votes the better.), but there's a twist. Our other 4 events will be the 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th most voted events, so choose wisely! The event choosing form will be open until Dec 15, when registration begins. Registration will end January 5, and we will begin the competition. Each week there will be a round where you do an ao5 or mo3 (depending on the event) of your events, and then at the end of the week I will post results and competitors will be eliminated (1st place, and bottom 25%). They could, but they risk the chance of being eliminated as only the top 75% move on

Registration will open on Dec 15.

You will be able to register by replying with the events you wish to compete in (events will be announced Dec 15 when registration opens)

I think submissions should be sent Via DM then to prevent people from purposely getting a time that keeps them in.

There are still ties between events (which I do have a method for deciding ties) but we need more votes! Again, you do not have to be competing to vote for the events.
