You all know that I haven't had a WCA number yet, and that's because I haven't been to a competition. I might go in January, but I need some tips... I don't know really what to do. How do I sign up for certain events, and do I bring anything besides my cube?
please help...
thank you!!!

I just did my first comp a month ago. I don't know how big your comp is but mine was small. The delegates explained the basics like using a timer, judging and general things. You don't need anything besides ur cubes but if you have a timer you should bring it to so you can practise while you wait to be called. What events are you doing aside from 3x3, 3x3 only is fine however. Also remember that cuber are kind and will help you.

your first comp was August lmao

I think the main goal of your first competition should be to had fun and enjoy yourself. There is literally no pressure at all because any successful solve and average will be an automatic PR, that’s something that helped me at my first competition.
Other advice is just talk to people, make friends, try cubes you’re looking into buying, help out, judge run all that good stuff, and enjoy the experience
