One day, Superman showed me his special puzzle of Soccer ball shape.

A Soccer ball is a combination of 12 pentagons and 20 hexagons.

The Superman’s one is the same, but has 20 different-color hexagons and 12 pentagons which contain the 5 colors of adjacent 5 hexagons. The hexagons are movable around pentagons, but the pentagons rotate only on its axis. When you move pentagons, adjacent 5 hexagons also move.

Each piece itself is not separable, so there are 32 pieces in total.

The numbers 1 - 20 represent different colors.

I tried to rotate one pentagon, but did not move, and others, either. So, I said to him, “That puzzle can be made physically, but not playable because the hexagons can not cross over the pentagons.”

He said, “Oh, what a pity! This is surely playable in my fourth dimensional world.”

He returned to his world and brought another one in the blink of an eye.

This time, all colors are not painted, but illuminated by the internal LEDs. When I turned (only swiping the surface) one pentagon by my finger, the colors of LEDs changed and gave the effect of rotation.

Wonderful! It is playable!
Superman was very happy.

This is similar to the Megaminx, but not the same. I checked web sites if there is the same ball, but I couldn’t find it. If someone know this ball, please let me know.

Also, I hope someone who are good at computer programing can make this Superman’s succor ball virtually.
