I was getting my hair cut at the barber shop when Master Yoda walked in.
I said, "Master Yoda, what a surprise to see you here!" He replied, "Sorry, sorry. I've never had my hair cut before, so what it was like, I just wanted to see." I looked at his head and chuckled a little.
Afterwards, he told me he really liked the three-color version of the Accelerating Reels puzzle I gave him last time. Apparently, he still hasn't found a solution. He said he'd given the puzzle to some teenagers training to become Jedi and instructed them to figure out how to solve it.
So he came to me to ask if I had any new puzzles.
I thought for a moment. "The other day, I was able to make a puzzle that suited him by changing the numbers in the puzzle to 3 colors... That's right, the Cylinder puzzle Superman gave me the other day has 6 colors, but if I change it to 3 colors, it should be a puzzle that he can enjoy. However, if it's just 3 colors and easy to solve, it won't be fun, so let's be careful not to let that happen," and so on…
As I was thinking about various things, I suddenly noticed the red, white, and blue barber's pole
outside the barber shop and thought, "That's it, I'll use that pattern!" So I said to Master Yoda, "I've got a great idea. When we get home, I'll make the puzzle and give it to you."
As soon as I got home, I started making the puzzle and after a while I completed the puzzle shown below.
For an outline of this puzzle (structure and how to play), please refer to the Superman's Cylinder puzzle (6 colors) post. The 3 main differences are as follows:
1. This puzzle has 3 colors.
2. This puzzle has a total of 30 pieces, with two pieces of the same pattern placed symmetrically on the cylinder.
3. The pieces are not LED-equipped.
Even though this puzzle only uses 3 colors, there are only 2 pieces of each pattern, so I think it's more difficult to solve than the Superman's 6-color version.
While I was explaining the outline of this puzzle, Master Yoda, as usual, picked it up, smiled, and disappeared...
