Cuber2s 2025 progression thread

Sorry for the bump but I didn't want to make a third progression thread

Since my last pr average, I have competed in 6 comps,

My first two comps were full of terrible averages, but at Vegas Cubing Cup Spring, I +2ed out of a pr average in the second round.

The times were 7.05, 6.87, 8.16, 7.02+2, and 10.70.

Afterwards the only notable comp was Worlds in which I got a 8.33 average in first round and a high 9 in second round, so my performance there wasn't great either.

I haven't gotten a sub 8 average in 20 rounds and I hope I can break my pr again soon, as I feel my performance in comp has gotten much worse recently.

My inspection on this solve was really bad, and I just did the first F2L pair I saw in inspection. F2L efficiency also was not the best, last layer was pretty good tho.

The comp went really bad

lost my 43 comp pr streak, 3x3 especially was really bad, but 2x2 was the most painful.

Started with a really bad 3.73, then got a 2.43, 2.02, 3.91, and 2.04

3.73 was me doing the wrong anti-cll, and even with that time counting it was a 2.73 average

4x4 too was really bad, started with 35.86, 39.20, 35.38, and then another 39 and 43.

My next comp is a birthday comp in October, last comp as a 14 year old and it went really bad .

Turns out I have 1 comp before my birthday lol.

Next month I have 2 comps, on the 4th and on the 12th(birthday comp yay)

after that i believe i have one more comp to end off the year.

Just going for 3x3 pr soon, I've been averaging 7.6-7.7 at home so With some decent scrambles I can definitely PR

Very good cube so far, imo best feeling out of every cube on the market.

Performance wise it is quite good, but slightly locky, but that should go away after break in.

Also, I'm getting coached by Dylan Miller! I've done one session so far, and he's helped me find multiple mistakes and issues in my solves, which I hope to improve over the next few months.

Overall, I expect a lot of improvement over the next few months

lol. But anyway ive been doing a ton of solution based practice drills this week, so not many solves, but my solutions have greatly improved. I went from 3-4 rotations a solve to like 1-2, and my first pairs have gotten very very good now. This next week is xcross practice on top of what I've been doing, hopefully more improvement will come.
