I'm not too sure from the photo but if the core is intact, then you can just put the pieces back in place. So guys my gan v100 aka BEST CUBE EVER HELD IN MY HANDS just popped badly and yeah that's not a pop it's a BAMBOOZLE pls tell me if its fixable and howView attachment 46635View attachment 46634View attachment 46633View attachment 46636
The center cap is off, so I'm almost certin that the core is broken.I'm not too sure from the photo but if the core is intact, then you can just put the pieces back in place.
If the core is broken, then contact whatever you're local cube store is asking about a replacement core.
Alternatively, if you can, you can ask an experienced adult to try and bond/weld the rest of the plastic core to the snapped piece. I wouldn't reccomend using super glue- the core WILL just break again and you don't want superglue gunk in your cube.
Also guys a core magnet is sticking out of its place probably the killer weapon of the cubeSo guys my gan v100 aka BEST CUBE EVER HELD IN MY HANDS just popped badly and yeah that's not a pop it's a BAMBOOZLE pls tell me if its fixable and howView attachment 46635View attachment 46634View attachment 46633View attachment 46636
Superglue can be surprisingly durable but it depends on the quality of the join. If it has a lot of surface area and it naturally fits in place it's much more likely to succeed. If it is a very thin piece or small surface area, it is likely to break againAlternatively, if you can, you can ask an experienced adult to try and bond/weld the rest of the plastic core to the snapped piece. If two of your cubes so far have had snapped cores then I would maybe reflect on your turning style and try and be less harsh. So my dayan guhong pro + passed away to the same thing today after giving me a victory at the school talent show so... RIP im gonna buy new ones

Soldering iron on plastic?? Are you sure you won't just create a horrible burning smoke or melt immediately? If it is snapped, i would try carefully using a soldering iron to weld it back. Or use a glue like testors which works by chemically fusing the plastic together.
I’m sure it will create terrible burning smoke lol (use a fume extractor). However it will not melt immediately. Plastic is quite porous compared to metal and doesnt conduct as quickly. The soldering iron does a great job of molding the plastic.Soldering iron on plastic?? Are you sure you won't just create a horrible burning smoke or melt immediately?
Somehow I doubt someone who is asking about a picture of a cube pop owns a soldering iron and fume extractorI’m sure it will create terrible burning smoke lol (use a fume extractor). drops his cubes or tosses them over his head
I wasn’t considering whether they own one or not, but if they have it, I think it’s a viable solution. Any way to fuse the plastics back together is better than an adhesive. Also it shouldn’t create a ton of fumes, but one could def do this outside or where a mask. I’m currently 3d printing a 1:4 scale Supra and I’m assembling it purely with the soldering iron. You just get way more control as opposed to glue and the results are strong.Somehow I doubt someone who is asking about a picture of a cube pop owns a soldering iron and fume extractor
I would be extremely careful with any kind of heating element especially one designed for metal soldering
