SS Competition Results
This is probably my 10 billionth post about wca stuff since i have first comp next month and dont understand alot of the regulations.
In regulation 2e , it states that to compete representing your country, you must hold citizenship in that country, which must be proven by something like a passport.
However, I dont have a passport as I dont travel abroad and I dont have an ID either cause idk why.
Basically Im js wondering what other forms of documents I can use to prove I can represent my country (UK 🇬🇧)

You may be able to use mail you have received lately.

You guys are making this to complicated. I’ve never had to show any form of ID at a comp. It’s not like the WCA is a bank

If you feel like you NEED something, bring a school ID or something
? regulation 2e says on your first comp you have to to ensure you are able to represent that country
2e ) Competitors must represent a country of which they hold citizenship. The WCA Delegate should verify citizenship by means of documents or photos of documents (e.g. a passport) at their first competition. If a competitor is found ineligible to represent the country under which they have registered, the competitor may be disqualified retroactively and/or suspended, at the discretion of the WCA Board.

A school ID does not work in Indian comps.

A newcomer needs to show a proper identity card to the delegate to verify in person.

Depends on locale.

Here, we require some form of official identification document for new competitors, but only during online registration. (In theory, it would be possible to upload someone else's document and the organisers would be none the wiser, but I'm pretty sure that counts as fraud which is Ultra Illegal.)

The only correct answer is to contact the competition's organisers and/or delegate(s) and ask them.

Ok ! Im screwed if I cant use birth certificate lol (its the only form of id i have i think)

Bro's 13, I don't think the UK let's children vote. Also, y'all get a national identity card?!
yh i cant vote for 5 more years so ig i cant ruin the political part for 5 more years. closest its been to children voting is when there was a brexit vote and people wondered if older kids should vote since when brexit finuished, theyd be 18 + (random unneeded fact thing)
