Where do you think it will be?

Thread 'MoYu WCA World Championship 2027 in Uppsala Sweden'

May 15, 2024

I know that it is a long way away till 2027, but considering that bids are already being made for places, I thought why not start the thread.

Today, SveKub has very exciting news to share with you all.
Sweden will submit an application to host the WCA World Championship in 2027!

We plan to be able to welcome 2000+ competitors from all over the world to a Swedish city in July 2027, to settle for the biggest titles in Speedcubing.

We expect the application to be submitted in the spring...

The Venue will probably Stockholmsmassan in Stockholm Sweden

[Thomas.Caleb]

I think the UK might also be bidding for Birmingham but probably not

[Caleb Valenzuela]

bro just ignored that there is already a thread for this

I doubt it, given that there's always a struggle to find a big enough venue for UK Champs which is about 500 people

[VortexCuber]

I think Europe is the most likely to have worlds, whether Sweden or not.

[Thomas.Caleb]

I did not know there was already a thread on this so it’s not,my fault

You can search on the loop on the up right corner of the screen to see if a thread already exists

Great, but there's already a thread for this, and given that we're well over 2 years away from Worlds 2027, I don't think there's a great deal of point, especially as, for all we know, an absolute powerhouse of a country will bid.

The Venue will probably Stockholmsmassan in Stockholm Sweden

Again, I think it's too early to talk about details like this.
