Road to Megaminx Sub-1 Average

I am currently trying to lower my megaminx average to sub 1 minute. This has been a general goal of mine, but also would get me into phase 2 registration for worlds. Currently my pb average is 1:18, global average is around 1:20. Pb single was an insane solve and I got a 57. I’ll be regularly posting on here to document progress

Good luck, what cube do you use?
When I avged 1:18 on the yuhu v2 I was able to improve my avg to 1:12, then I got the dayan pro and improved to 1:05, and kept on improving from there and now I'm consistently avging 57-58

I’ve been summoned.
For sub-1, make sure to do a lot of slow solves and learn to solve very efficiency. Also, plan as far as you can in inspection.

Yeah, I recommend the dayan pro (get the LM if you prefer bigger megaminx, it costs extra tho iirc)

Also you don't have to finish the star and then start making f2l pairs, you can insert them before you finish the cross if there's at least 1 star edge already in next to your pair

I’ll think about getting the Dayan. But I don’t want to be reliant on hardware. Thanks for the tips

If you have big hands I'd recommend the staying with the yuhu but if your hands are small you might want to consider the Dayan or Gan v2.

I would say that the Dayan Mega Pro Large mega is better than the Yuhu.

I’m just gonna stick with my yuhu for now. It’s good enough for right now.
