Is my gan lube destroying my cube?

I have had this gan lube for a few years now and only really started using it these last two years. This lube slows down the cube itself so I prefer to use it in the core and I have had center caps snap off of my cube twice (one on my MGC evo V1 and Xman V3 standard). I am wondering if anyone else has had similar problems with old gan lubes or is it the plastic.

It’s 5 years old

Those are already incredibly fragile cubes; realistically, its just a weird coincidence.

Gan lube definitely isn’t the best, you might wanna consider stuff like weight 1-5 (the weight doesn’t matter that much) for a nice baseline and then other cubicle/scs lubes on top of that.

like what @Bingus Ringus McDingus said, these cubes are known to break like this. Try to see if you can still return them or get replacement parts.
