does anyone think i can actually pull it off? i'm feeling a bit like i'm in over my head

I average sub-3 minutes and I have 165 timed 3BLD solves (not successes) so far. I think that it is definitely possible, and I recommend joining the blindsolvers discord server. A member of it named applesauce helped me a lot when it came to improving from sub-6 to sub-3. Good luck!

Is very possible to do this, I went in less than a month from 6 minutes to averaging mid 2 minutes

Definitely possible. I had my first success(14 mins) and a month later averaged sub 3:30. Now I average like 1:30. 3BLD is hard, but you get used to it and improve quickly.

What method do you use?
I went from never having done 3bld to averaging sub-50 seconds in two months (a lot of grinding for that) so it's defiantly possible
If you grind you can probably pull it off

try M2 it takes a little bit to get da hang of doing targets in da M slice but it's way faster
I used to average sub-50 with just M2/op

Sub-3 is quite easy, all you really need to do is learn M2/OP and just practice, using visual memo for corners and audio memo for edges. Nothing else is really needed. It took me around 70 solves before I was confidently Sub-3, so I would aim for 100 if I were you.
