I know that VHLS is a subset of ZBLS.
There are too many ZBs, so I'm thinking of using VHLS as an alternative.

Is it overwhelmingly better to use ZBLS than to use VHLS?
If I don't use ZB, is it better not to use VHLS because it's trash?
(assume that I know full ZBLL)

1. ZBLS+ZBLL
2. setupmove+VHLS+ZBLS

of course ZBLS will be better than setup + VH because is less moves but you'll have to learn more algs

This is the Vandenbergh-Harris method, or VH for short. According to the wiki, its movecount is about the same as for ZB. I don't know about the ergonomics, but I can assure you that VHLS is better developed than ZBLS.

similar to saying that 2 look OLL is better developed than full OLL

for VH you have to form the pair first, for ZBLS you just solve last f2l pair + EO no mather what case you get

EOLS can sometimes be intuitive, and I'm pretty sure most high-level cfoppers influence EO during F2L, so they get ZB most of the time without actually using full ZBLS.

you can try to swap an unoriented edge on the slot with another unoriented edge on top layer before rotating while solving pairs
