I'm wondering what completing a Rubik's Cube actually tests. And what's next.

It's going to become exponentially harder to lower times. When do greedy people want less and less? When they're cubing. Or playing golf.

What does it test?

brain
fingers
system - CFOP etc.
most whizzy cube
the most skips
the easiest solve at a comp for person A's system

There's too much randomness to whoever gets the fastest time.

What is there in the future?

Can you solve a Rubik's Cube?

Just give me one second. 😊

Could you word this a little better? I’m having a hard time understanding.

It's OK to create threads, but they are all very confusing.
LOL You can cube blindfold I guess from your name, but my messages r confusing. Maybe I can't understand my messages either. I was thinking of this GAN cube thing when I sent the thread - it seems to be I don't know, not a proper cube. Magnets and the centres don' t look 'square'.

The cubies themself are designed to allow for better speed, corner cutting, stability (where the cube doesn’t flop a lot when you turn it) and prevents corner twists. The magnets make it so that you don’t have to hold a lot of layers because the magnets help keeping the cube together, allowing for calmer but faster turning.
GAN cubes nowadays are built for all of these features, and also have adjustable magnets, easy yet hundreds of way to customize the spring and screw tensions, and the cubes are very light at around 70 grams.

Curbing blindfolded is very easy! You just need to start at buffer E(corner Speffz) and keep memoing until you come to a cycle break or you finish memo. And of course you have to deal with twists/multi-twists as well. Then you just keep tracing for edges, obviously making sure to switch C/W and I/S if they second in a letter pair. Then you can execute edges, being sure to use not setup moves with moves that don't affect the M-slice but setup moves that preserve it, breaking the M-slice and restoring it while simultaneously inserting a piece into the target A(Speffz). Then if you have parity, just add A D A to your edge memo! While executing corners, you can use restricted <D, F, R> setup moves before doing a modified Y perm. If your buffer is flipped or twisted, you have to rotate and use a different buffer. If you memo edges then find your corner buffer twisted, do a rotation but be cautious of the fact that it you have parity, it swaps UB(A Speffz) and UL(D Speffz) and will cycle the incorrect pieces on a y2 rotated cube. Then of course if that's too easy you can use 3-style, which is only like 1000 algs! These use commutators(A B A' B') to solve the cube. A basic comm will either start with an interchange solving one piece with one move before doing an insertion or the other way round. If it isn't a pure commutator you may have to do setup moves.

Oh wait that's what you meant by confusing.

OK, yeah. I always get confused with “much” and “many”. Don’t ask.
Much is usually used when the noun is not countable, with the exception of money. Conversely, many is used for everything else, typically countable nouns. These sentences are all correct:
How much do I owe?
How much sand is on the beach?
How much water do you have?
How many Rubik's cubes do you own?
How many cubes can you solve?
How many electronic devices do you have?

So pretty much, if you can count if easily (like amounts of things) you use many. If you can't count it easily (sand, water, etc) you use much (with the exception of money). However, you do use many when referring to coins or bills, so "How many $2 bills do you have?" or "How many loonies do you have?" are both correct.

Note: In Canada we call a 1$ coin a loonie because it has a loon on it (no clue why but it does). We also call a $2 coin a toonie because it's fun to say XD

Wait, is this grammar class? ...

That's a great sales job for the cube. I'm not really fast enough twisting to need GAN but it would be good for my OH. I'll get one.
