4x4 started locking up out of nowhere

I was doing the online comp today and got a good avg but on the last scramble my 4x4 started locking up, and I had to DNF

I'll send a video, if someone know what can I do...

I'm almost sure I have to disassemble it

it's only on one axis, or maybe it's a certain internal piece that's the culprit

One of your core pieces might be trying to spin into a diamond shape, might be a bit too loose (I don't know though)

Have you solved the problem yet? It could be that you had an internal piece pop and you didn’t notice. One of those little white things could be missing.

I think that your 4x4 center got misaligned somehow. The little pin(s) you are talking about is supposed to stop that from happening but with a bad turn it can happen anyway. The two ways that I can think of fixing it is taking it all apart and then assembling it again or taking apart some of it and trying to push the center back into place. You can watch around a minute, starting from 5:12,

Yeah I remember I had the same problem with my 4x4. I never ended up fixing it and just totally scammed @Eli Apperson out of a 4x4. I'm 99% sure something inside of it is broken and not fixable.

I was solving 4x4 a lot lately

I will have to buy another one but won't be doing that so soon.

maybe I'll do some experiments / try to fix it anyday soon
and just practice more megaminx, 5x5 and pyraminx

but I luv 4x4 ;_;
