Do not machine wash any type of cube mat or mouse pad. I'm a professional gamer with hundreds of hours of action on my pads, and the best way to clean dirt, sweat, and grease off of that type of material is to put it in a bathtub with slightly warm water, and then sprinkle a light layer of laundry detergent on top. let sit for 15 minutes and then lightly scrub with a sponge. Do not dry in the sun. only air dry. but before you air dry, put the pad inbetween to towels and jump on it to squeeze as much of the water out. if you don't do this, the water won't come out in time and the pad will start to smell. if your pad had a lot of bright designs, make sure not to scrub to hard as there could be smearing, and do not sprinkle detergent on the underside of the pad else the stickiness could be removed. I've don't this so many times now, and it makes them good as new! feel free to ask for clarification as needed and good luck!Does anyone know if you can machine wash the ScS mats? i kinda ripped my tag off from it when i got it a year ago

I am defining "professional gamer" as someone who plays video games as a way or attempt to make money. Also someone who is ranked highly upon the national or international scale. How exactly are you defining “professional gamer”?
attempt
highly
Glad I could give you something to critique. I literally wrote a post it note predicting that you would focus on those exact two words. This word is incredibly useful here
This one too
Good advice on the mats though
how can you even make money from gaming besides making YouTube videos or streaming??Do not machine wash any type of cube mat or mouse pad. yeah, in order for someone to actually make a living off of gaming, they would have to share their experiences via videos or streaming. Streaming does indeed pay the bills. Streamers who stream 5 times a week (averaging over 900 viewers) and who pick up one or two sponsors make over $20,000 a month. of course, this is sort of a gamble since people these days need to watch people who aren't just good at what they do. the person needs to be funny, interesting, etc. for the record, I do not plan to make a living off of gaming. Mechanical engineering is more likely.Being good at the game. Mainly tournaments, I guess maybe sponsorships if you’re a genuine top player. In order to actually make a nontrivial amount by just playing the game you would need to be a very good player, even for games with large esports scenes. The definition of “professional” here is likely used extremely liberally.

Also, speaking of gambling. Your last sentence is quite risqué. You assume that I am using the word "Professional" improperly, and that I am stretching it. Care to elaborate?
Would you also care to explain why your assumption "is likely used extremely liberally" contains three adverbs following a verb? That is commonly accepted by Argumentative Academia as "lazy writing."
ALSO, what is your definition of PROfessional, PROstar? Your definitely not a professional writer, does your name entrail, that you get paid to leave your head in the clouds? (get it, cuz your a star and stars were once commonly accepted to be suspended in the clouds?).
Also, you only asked me to explain and justify my use of the word Professional, you never asked how much money I've made being a professional gamer.
so c'mon, you started this, you finish it. you've been buggin me ever since Sales and Foreclosure Resouces. EN GARDE' !
you finish it.
Thank you very much. I'm not allowed to drink coffee and have been in need of cerebral stimulation. lmk if you ever need a Fortnite duo.I’m not particularly interested in engaging in thinly veiled aggression (or poorly worded sarcasm), so I’m gonna answer this and then take my leave and hope I haven’t irreparably derailed this thread.
Content creation is definitely a very interesting career, and it’s actually become a lot more stable over the past several years. Having multiple plans is always a good idea though
Mostly because I don’t think you would meet most reasonable definitions of a “professional” gamer (as in, I doubt you’re making tens of thousands of dollars a year off of it). This is mainly because of how difficult it is to do so, and the fact that nothing you said about your accomplishments would reward you with significant financial compensation.
Because 1. I wasn’t attempting to argue and 2. The composition of my post was indeed rather lazy, mostly due to this being a relatively insignificant discussion on an Internet forum. My post was legible and coherent, which was the only real priority.
Broadly speaking (yes there are always exceptions) I would say that in order for someone to be a professional at something they would need to be able to make a living off of it / have it as their main source of income. For example, being 15 and not having any other sources of income (your sources of income is not something I know nor a concern of mine, as this is just an example) would not meet the first criteria.
I imagine this was a joke, but for the record the “Pro” in my name doesn’t stand for “Professional”, nor does the “Star” represent literal celestial objects.
True. I never thought there was any reason to discuss the merits of your claim, I simply thought it was curious wording.
Apologies if I’ve been “buggin” you, I’ve never had any such intent. I also apologize if anything I’ve said has directly offended you and/or come off as targeted/aggressive.
Gladly
Whether you’re a professional gamer or not honestly doesn’t matter. I saw your post (which answered the original question quite well by the way) and found your wording to be interesting, so I made a comment about it. Apologies again if you found it to be overly aggressive / passive aggressive
Lol what?? You might want to look up what risqué means. (Or not.)Your last sentence is quite risqué.
ik what it means... are you taking this out of context? it means "on the limits" "close but not close enough" "on the verge"... modern society has twisted it, and for some reason think of it as "innapropriate" "indecent" etc.Lol what?? You might want to look up what risqué means. (Or not.)
@randomness... is probably scared nowanyway, let's get back on track:
