I am trying to get sub-30 global in 3BLD and thought I might share my progress here.
first my journey so far.
I started 3-BLD on the 17 of august 2023 with op/op.
my first success was 4 days later.
I reached a sub-1 minute single in 7 weeks using m2/op.
I also just got a sub-30 single on the 8 of January using m2/3-style.
Now I am trying to start 3-stye edges and get my global to sub-30

1st of June 2024
sub-30 global achieved 1st of June 2024 (289 days or 41 weeks after I first started)
currently going for sub-20/NR

8 of June 2024
first sub-20 achieved 6th of June 2024 with a 18.96
1000 successes in 3bld reached 7 of june 2024
and 15.16 second solve on the 8th of June 2024

Looking good! Btw you should join this blind server if you haven’t already. There are a lot of sub 30 and even sub 20 blders there every day. Sometimes Charlie Eggins or Stanley Chapel even stop by. https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=video_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqbEw4RDV3UU55MndGbUhkTjh6NUJKa0RNMWFLQXxBQ3Jtc0tsQ3RTek9EZlhENUgySExtbkhZZk5oaW5oVXpGOWc3elRnYmNnS09FTENZdVFNQldEMW9QT0RZX0VDT3JSVWxQYk82d0xWSzFndkxJOUtKTGtkN3ZyQk1BamZIdXFxNDVuMHBMTU1hamt0YTFVUWhrdw&q=https://discord.gg/4cncFW6KYE&v=2ZxCBX23zW0

Edit: that link is kinda funny. Idk why but it still works

I dont currently have discord but when i get it I will join.

why not any better ideas
They have unnecessarily strict restrictions on what moves are allowed, which results in using slower algs just to avoid a particular move. The best thing to do is to go to blddb.net, click either edges or corners, set it to manmade mode, and pick one of the top algs. This shows what top people commonly use as well as giving you multiple options for each case.

Well I'm not strictly using nightmare (I was also using elliott's and jack's comms)
nightmare tends to fit my turning style quite well
but I'll have a look at that and thanks for the tip.

could someone give me a good comm for DU (UFR-ULF-DFL) intuitively I would do it as D2 R D' R':[R' D R,U'] is this a good comm???
I use R2 U' R2 U' R2 D R2 U R2 U' R2 D' R2 U2 R2 which I derived a while back from some commutator cancellation, but I just learnt it as an algorithm. For the inverse I also just invert the alg. During MBLD I use the comm you mentioned for safety.
