But if you look closely at that display in that video before he starts, you can see the top of that zero isn't working, which would be the top of the '4', making it 3.699.

Yeah, but that's 3x3. Only way I can see it being on there is if they did an article on the comp in the first place. For the regional championship that Ryan Pilat got 3.73, a news company was doing a vid on the comp itself, and only mentioned the WR as a side note.

it would still look like a 4 if it's a 4

if you slow down playback speed to only 25% and watch closely you can see that it stops just after 3.63xx
so it probably was a 3.64...

still and amazing solve and a WR for Max either way

There's no "probably" about it. It was a 3.69.
