No matter the reason, the slap was still in the wrong. Hitting a child in public is no way to teach a kid, no matter what they did wrong (If he did anything that was wrong.)
So you agree that hitting a child (for discipline) is okay, but just not in public? And if so, why? If anything, that makes her most likely not a hypocritical person.
Surely this alone is enough to prove YiHeng's mom is not in the clear.
You act as though he is one of the top cubers in the world...because his mother will beat him to death if he isn't!
I'm sorry, but many people reading this now have tortured themselves beyond what most people would be considered sane, in order to become just half as good as he is. And they will never be able to reach his level (that he is at right now), no matter the torture they go through or sacrifices they make.
A child's main objective is to please his parents. That clearly has a lot to do with it. There is a
mutual interest here. He cannot possibly be this good if he didn't absolutely love what he's doing, period.
She may be tough on him to succeed (just as many parents are tough on their kids to be great at the piano, etc., at a very young age), but
that does not mean that she's beating him to his success!
Surely after this video, I thought that everybody should have realized that Yiheng's Mom is in the wrong.
No, one video showing a parent disciplining her child (for a split second) is not the same as a video
like this. (
Viewer discretion advised.) Wake up people! One video is disciplinary action, one is abuse (repeated, relentless offenses). And she (the abusive mother) didn't think she was being filmed. Yihengs mother
very likely knew she was being filmed (if she has any peripheral vision at all...). Can't you see the difference between an abuser and a mother?
But I guess there needs to be more evidence to prove it.
Yes, I would surely hope so, considering that the majority of those who were appalled by seeing her hit him want to call her an abuser for hitting him
once. (That's not the definition of abuse.)
And I bet there are several people looking to stalk her to obtain the "evidence"... so that they can gain 10K subscribers for their YouTube channel...
